After an early breakfast, a transfer will pick you up at your hotel and head towards Sarapiquí, where you will experience an unforgettable rafting adventure on the Sarapiquí River. This river offers Class III and IV rapids, ideal for adventure and nature lovers. During the rainy season (from May to September), the river becomes more powerful and challenging, which increases the excitement and adrenaline. During the journey, you will admire the beauty of the rainforest surrounding the river and observe the wildlife that inhabits it. After rafting, you will be served a typical Costa Rican lunch to restore your energy. Later, you will head to the town of Sarapiquí, where you can relax at your hotel. Accommodation in Sarapiquí.

Breakfast and subsequent transfer to Hacienda Pozo Azul. There you will enjoy a perfect combination of two excursions: Canopy Tour and Horseback Riding. It will begin with a pleasant tractor ride that will take you to the starting platform of the canopy tour. This activity offers a total of 12 cables and 17 platforms, seven of which are built in the trees at heights ranging from 20 to 30 meters. The canopy offers a route that goes from ground platforms to tree platforms, with two or three crossings of the river canyon. Lunch will be served on the property; afterwards, the horseback riding will begin at the stables. You will be provided with all safety equipment (helmet, rain ponchos and leg gaiters for protection if you wear shorts). You will also receive a briefing on the fundamentals of handling horses and safety procedures. When you are ready, you can mount your horse and ride it around the arena until both of you are comfortable. Breakfast and visit to La Tirimbina Biological Reserve, which is located in the middle of the rainforest, highlighting biodiversity, ecological systems, conservation and human culture. Tirimbina is a destination where science, education and research combine to offer an exceptional encounter with nature. Interesting educational programs are offered to visitors, 8 kilometers of trails and hanging bridges, in addition to the chocolate tour, lasting approximately four hours. At the end of this tour, you will return to your hotel in Sarapiquí, where a short time later a shared transfer will pick you up and take you directly to La Fortuna, in the Volcán Arenal area. The excursion begins after a delicious breakfast, visiting the impressive hanging bridges. It is a 3-kilometer trail hike, where you can appreciate the natural wealth of tropical forests. The trail crosses 10 fixed bridges and 6 hanging bridges, which have a maximum inclination of 7 degrees, with no steps, safety railings and non-slip concrete to facilitate passage and ensure your confidence at heights. After lunch, you can relax for a while before starting the volcano hike. One of the various trails that cross the tropical jungle and pass over a massive block of solidified lava showing the powerful eruption of 1968 will be chosen. You will observe diverse plants, animals and spectacular rock formations. Upon reaching the top of the trail, you will have a wonderful view of Lake Arenal. The hike ends at a viewpoint where, weather permitting, you can see the volcano's summit emitting some vapor through some cracks in its upper part. During the tour, your expert guide will provide you with interesting and educational information about the history of the imposing mountain and the impact of Volcán Arenal on the area.
