Between 06:00 and 06:30 in the morning, a guide will pick you up to begin the tour that will take you to Tortuguero National Park. The journey will start on Highway 32 which crosses Braulio Carrillo National Park and offers spectacular views of its primary forest. Along the way, you will stop to enjoy a delicious Costa Rican breakfast and then continue to the dock. There a comfortable boat will be waiting for you to cross the winding channels of the national park. A Costa Rican dinner will be served at the lodge at the agreed time. Accommodation in Tortuguero.

IMPORTANT:

This day starts very early in the morning and you will be able to enjoy the most hidden corners of the countless network of secondary channels. You will return to enjoy breakfast and chat with your family and/or friends about the experiences lived during this first excursion.
If you prefer, you can enjoy the hotel facilities and book one of the spa treatments or complementary excursions. In the afternoon, the natural history adventure will continue with a walk through the lodge's private trail, where your guide will provide information about the forest that forms the national park and where the lodge facilities are located. Subsequently, a representative from Rent a Car will contact you for the delivery of the rental vehicle. You will continue to your next destination, La Fortuna/Volcán Arenal, whose main attraction is the impressive Volcán Arenal, 1,670 meters high, with its almost perfect cone shape. Activity has diminished in recent years, but the simple image of this colossus is a natural spectacle. Accommodation in La Fortuna.

Day 5: La Fortuna/Volcán Arenal
Breakfast. Free time to explore one of the most popular and spectacular tourist destinations in the area. La Fortuna is one of the most complete destinations with a wide variety of activities to offer: ranging from high-adrenaline activities such as canopy tours, rafting, safari, horseback riding, rappelling and mountain biking, to nature walks, caves, waterfalls, hanging bridges, and more. Accommodation in La Fortuna.
Meals included today: Breakfast
Entrances/excursions included: None
Day 6: La Fortuna / Volcán Arenal - Monteverde
Today you will leave La Fortuna/Volcán Arenal to head to one of the most beautiful and nature-rich places in Costa Rica: Monteverde. This area is definitely a destination for nature lovers, where its main attraction is the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, which is recognized worldwide for its great biodiversity and its contribution to conservation and scientific research. This is a mystical forest covered by mist produced by the high humidity that becomes trapped in the endless branches of the tallest trees and is home to the elusive quetzal and the sonorous bell bird. Accommodation in Monteverde.

Day 7: Monteverde
We recommend taking a leisurely walk through the cloud forest and observing some of the 400 native bird species, or simply relax while forgetting all the stressful problems of everyday life. Boredom is undoubtedly a word that will disappear from your vocabulary thanks to the fabulous variety of activities available to you in Monteverde. Visit the forest from a bird's eye view with a peaceful walk across hanging bridges or a quick zip line adventure through the treetops. If you prefer something much more relaxed and effortless, you can book the coffee, chocolate and sugarcane tour to learn about the processes that lead to the final product you find on your table. Accommodation in Monteverde.
Meals included today: Breakfast

Day 8: Monteverde - Quepos / Manuel Antonio
Back on the road, you will drive to the Pan-American Highway and continue south through Puntarenas to Jacó. Here you can stop to visit Carara National Park, located 5 km after the long bridge over the Tárcoles River (entrance approx. USD 12 per person). This park is a clear example of what a mixed forest is: a biome that is moderately temperate and humid at the same time. Orchids thrive particularly well here; you will be able to admire some in their natural habitat. Nevertheless, the main attraction of the park is the large scarlet macaw. Subsequently, continue your journey along the coast to Quepos/Manuel Antonio. Time for the beach! Further south, along the Central Pacific coast, you will find one of the best beaches in Costa Rica, where you will have the opportunity to take a refreshing swim and visit the very humid tropical forest of Manuel Antonio National Park. Accommodation in Manuel Antonio.
