Day 1: Guatemala City Airport - La Antigua
Airport reception, assistance, and transfer to La Antigua Guatemala. Accommodation.
Day 2: La Antigua - Pacaya Volcano - La Antigua
Breakfast. With our driver and vehicle, we will depart towards San Vicente Pacaya, where we will meet our local guide and begin the ascent to Pacaya Volcano, one of the easiest to climb in the country, allowing us to approach its crater at approximately 100 meters distance. Pacaya Volcano maintains constant activity almost throughout the year and is one of three active volcanoes in Guatemala. Return to La Antigua. Accommodation.
Day 3: La Antigua - Acatenango Volcano
Breakfast. Very early departure towards La Soledad Community, where our ascent to Acatenango Volcano begins, the third highest volcano in Guatemala, at 3,875 meters above sea level. We will have the opportunity to encounter corn plantations and pine forests typical of the region until reaching the vicinity of our camping site. At the summit we will enjoy impressive views of the remaining volcanoes of Guatemala's highlands and a spectacular volcanic display should Fuego Volcano be active. Our team provides lunch and dinner. Camping on the volcanic cone.
Day 4: Acatenango Volcano - La Antigua - Lake Atitlán
Breakfast at the camping site. We will have the opportunity to ascend to the peak of the volcanic cone to appreciate a 360-degree view from this point. Descent of approximately 3.5 hours. After the descent we will continue towards Lake Atitlán, which Huxley called the most beautiful lake in the world. Upon arrival, we will take a boat to Santiago Atitlán. Accommodation.
Day 5: Santiago Atitlán - Lake Atitlán
Breakfast. We will have a free day to visit on your own this community, Santiago Atitlán, a town inhabited by Tzutuhil indigenous people who live from fishing and crafts, though they are better known as worshippers of a Maya-Catholic deity they call Maximón. Accommodation.
Day 6: Lake Atitlán - San Pedro Volcano - Lake Atitlán
Very early we will take a boat to San Pedro La Laguna. Breakfast and ascent of San Pedro Volcano, one of three imposing volcanoes surrounding the beautiful Lake Atitlán, with a height of 3,020 meters. The ascent and descent take around 5 hours. Time to enjoy the wonderful scenery towards the beautiful lake and the remaining volcanoes of the region. Descent and return by boat to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 7: Lake Atitlán - Guatemala City - Airport
Breakfast. In the morning return to Guatemala City. Transfer to the airport.
End of our services.
