Day 1: Guatemala Airport - La Antigua
Reception at the airport, assistance, and transfer to La Antigua Guatemala. Overnight stay.
Day 2: La Antigua - Pacaya Volcano - La Antigua
Breakfast. Depart with our driver for San Vicente Pacaya to meet our local guide and begin the ascent of Pacaya Volcano. As one of the most accessible climbs in the country, visitors can approach within approximately 100 meters of the crater. Pacaya is one of three active volcanoes in Guatemala and maintains constant activity throughout most of the year. Return to La Antigua. Overnight stay.
Day 3: La Antigua - Acatenango Volcano
Breakfast. Early morning departure for the La Soledad community to begin the ascent of Acatenango Volcano, Guatemala's third-highest peak at 3,875 meters above sea level. The trail passes through corn plantations and regional pine forests before reaching the campsite. From the summit, enjoy panoramic views of the highland volcanoes and a volcanic display if the nearby Fuego Volcano is active. Lunch and dinner are provided by our team. Camping on the volcanic cone.
Day 4: Acatenango Volcano - La Antigua - Lago Atitlán
Breakfast at the campsite. Opportunity to ascend to the peak of the volcanic cone for a 360-degree view. The descent takes approximately 3.5 hours. Afterward, continue to Lago Atitlán, famously described by Aldous Huxley as the most beautiful lake in the world. Upon arrival, take a boat to Santiago Atitlán. Overnight stay.
Day 5: Santiago Atitlán - Lago Atitlán
Breakfast. Enjoy a free day to explore the community of Santiago Atitlán at your own pace. The town is home to the Tzutuhil people, known for their fishing and crafts, as well as their devotion to Maximón, a unique Maya-Catholic deity. Overnight stay.
Day 6: Lago Atitlán - San Pedro Volcano - Lago Atitlán
Early morning boat transfer to San Pedro La Laguna. Breakfast followed by the ascent of San Pedro Volcano, one of the three imposing volcanoes surrounding Lago Atitlán, reaching an elevation of 3,020 meters. The round-trip hike takes approximately 5 hours and offers spectacular views of the lake and the surrounding volcanic landscape. Return to the hotel by boat. Overnight stay.
Day 7: Lago Atitlán - Guatemala - Airport
Breakfast. Morning return to Guatemala Ciudad and transfer to the airport.
