Day 1: Airport - Mexico City
Reception at Mexico City international airport "Benito Juárez" and transfer to your hotel of choice with accommodation.
Day 2: Mexico City - Querétaro - San Miguel de Allende
Breakfast. Departure toward Querétaro, a UNESCO World Heritage City, where we will visit the Aqueduct, the Ex-Convent of the Cross, and the Historic Center. We will continue to San Miguel de Allende. Afternoon to explore this serene city where the renowned comedian "Cantinflas" lived and where artists and intellectuals reside. Points of interest include the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, the Capilla de la Santa Casa, the Church of San Francisco, and the Casa e Instituto Allende. There is a wide variety of cafés and restaurants to choose from. Accommodation.
Day 3: San Miguel de Allende - Dolores Hidalgo - Guanajuato
Breakfast. Departure to Dolores Hidalgo, where in 1810 priest Miguel Hidalgo proclaimed the famous "grito" that initiated Mexican Independence. Here you will find the house-museum of this national hero and the birthplace of renowned composer José Alfredo Jiménez. Continuation to Guanajuato, a UNESCO World Heritage City and annual venue of the International Cervantes Festival. In the afternoon we will enjoy discovering this beautiful city, full of alleyways and plazas, offering interesting sites such as the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, the Teatro Juárez, the Mina de la Valenciana, El Callejón del Beso, and the University. Its streets and underground avenues are unique in the country. The "callejoneada" is a classic experience accompanied by a musical student group or tuna valenciana. Other attractions include the Quixote Museum, Diego Rivera's house-museum, and the Mummies. Accommodation.
Day 4: Guanajuato - Zacatecas
Breakfast. We will depart toward Zacatecas, a beautiful mining city declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with stunning carved façades in pink stone, whose cathedral is the most outstanding example of Mexican Baroque architecture. Panoramic view of the city from Cerro de la Bufa, cable car descent, and educational visit to the Eden Mine. Optionally, you can participate in an evening "musical callejoneada with Tambora" and dance at the nightclub inside a mine. Accommodation.
Day 5: Zacatecas - Guadalajara
Breakfast. Departure toward Guadalajara, birthplace of Mariachi and Tequila, which distinguish Mexico worldwide. We will visit the main points of interest: Hospicio Cabañas with Orozco's murals, Teatro Degollado, Cathedral, the Rotonda de los Hombres Ilustres, the Plazas, and the Palacio de Gobierno. Accommodation.
Day 6: Guadalajara - Tequila - Guadalajara
Breakfast. Departure to visit Tequila, land of agave. We will tour the distillery, see the entire production process, and enjoy a Tequila tasting. Accommodation.
Day 7: Guadalajara - Pátzcuaro - Morelia
Breakfast. On this route, the first stop will be Vicente Fernández's Ranch as well as the Tres Potrillos souvenir shop, considered "the world's largest western store," where you can visit as permitted by security and see the interior of the Ranch as well as the tomb of the esteemed artist to pay your respects. You will then head to Pátzcuaro, which means "The Gateway to Heaven" in the Purépecha language. A city famous for its colonial beauty and the originality of its customs and local population. Located on the shores of Lake Pátzcuaro. Its attractions include the miraculous Basilica of Nuestra Señora de la Salud, the "Casa de los Once Patios," the historic center, and the Island of Janitzio. In the portals of downtown Pátzcuaro you can enjoy a wide variety of cafés and restaurants with typical and international dishes. Continuation to the City of Morelia with accommodation.
Day 8: Morelia - Mexico City
Breakfast. UNESCO World Cultural Heritage City, recognized for its student atmosphere and magnificent colonial buildings of pink stone: The Cathedral, the Palacio de Gobierno, the Palacio Clavijero, the Plaza Mayor, the Market of typical sweets, and the Aqueduct. Departure toward Mexico City, arrival, and accommodation.
Day 9: Mexico City
Breakfast. We will begin the city tour by visiting the historic center, a cultural heritage of humanity, as well as the National Palace (panoramic view), the Plaza de la Constitución or Zócalo, the Aztec Templo Mayor, and the Metropolitan Cathedral, as well as its main avenues. We will then visit Chapultepec Forest and one of the most famous residential areas, as well as the Zona Rosa. Return to the hotel and rest of the day free.
Day 10: Mexico City - Airport
At the designated time, transfer to the airport to take your return flight home.
