Day 1: Airport - Mexico City (Monday)
Reception at Mexico City's international airport "Benito Juárez", transfer to your hotel of choice and accommodation.
Day 2: Mexico City
Breakfast. We will begin the city tour visiting the historic center; a Cultural Heritage of Humanity, as well as the National Palace (panoramic view), the Plaza de la Constitución or Zócalo, the Aztec Templo Mayor, and the Metropolitan Cathedral, as well as its main avenues. We will then visit Chapultepec Forest and one of the most famous residential areas, as well as Zona Rosa. Return to hotel and rest of the day free.
Day 3: Mexico City - Querétaro - San Miguel de Allende
Breakfast. Departure toward Querétaro, a World Heritage city, where we will visit the Aqueduct, the Ex-Convento de la Cruz, and the Historic Center. We will continue toward San Miguel de Allende. Afternoon to explore this peaceful city where the great comedian "Cantinflas" lived and a residence for artists and intellectuals. Points of interest include the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, the Capilla de la Santa Casa, the Iglesia de San Francisco, and the Casa e Instituto Allende. It has a wide variety of cafés and restaurants to choose from. Accommodation.
Day 4: San Miguel de Allende - Dolores Hidalgo - Guanajuato
Breakfast. Departure to Dolores Hidalgo, where in 1810 Father Miguel Hidalgo proclaimed the famous "grito" that began Mexico's Independence. Here you will find the house-museum of this national hero and also the birthplace of the famous composer José Alfredo Jiménez. Continuation to Guanajuato, a World Heritage city and annual home of the International Cervantino Festival. In the afternoon we will enjoy discovering this beautiful city, full of alleyways and plazas, which offers interesting sites such as the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, the Teatro Juárez, the Mina de la Valenciana, El Callejón del Beso, and the university. Its streets and underground avenues are unique in the country. The "callejoneada" accompanied by musical students or a traditional tuna valenciana is classic. Other attractions include the Quijote museum, Diego Rivera's house-museum, and the Mummies. Accommodation.
Day 5: Guanajuato - Zacatecas
Breakfast. We will depart toward Zacatecas, a beautiful mining city declared a World Heritage site, with stunning facades carved in pink stone, whose cathedral is the most outstanding example of Mexican baroque. Panoramic view of the city from Cerro de la Bufa, cable car descent, and educational visit to the Eden Mine. You can optionally participate in a "musical callejoneada with Tambora" at night and go dancing at a nightclub inside a mine. Accommodation.
Day 6: Zacatecas - Guadalajara
Breakfast. Departure toward Guadalajara, the birthplace of Mariachi and Tequila, which distinguish Mexico in the world. We will visit the main points of interest: Hospicio Cabañas with Orozco's murals, Teatro Degollado, Cathedral, the Rotonda de los Hombres Ilustres, the Plazas, and the Palacio de Gobierno. Accommodation.
Day 7: Guadalajara - Tequila - Guadalajara
Breakfast. Departure from Guadalajara to visit Tequila, land of agave. We will tour a tequila distillery, see the entire production process, and enjoy a tequila tasting. Accommodation.
Day 8: Guadalajara - Pátzcuaro - Morelia
Breakfast. On this route the first stop will be Vicente Fernández's ranch as well as the Tres Potrillos souvenir shop, considered "the world's largest western store". You will be able to visit as far as security permits and learn about the interior of the ranch as well as the tomb of this beloved artist to pay your respects. You will then continue toward Pátzcuaro, which means "the door of heaven" in the Purépecha language. A city famous for its colonial beauty and originality in local customs and population. Located on the shores of Lake Pátzcuaro. Among its attractions is the miraculous Basílica de Nuestra Señora de la Salud, the "Casa de los Once Patios", the historic center, and the Island of Janitzio. In the portals of downtown Pátzcuaro you can enjoy a wide variety of cafés and restaurants with typical and international dishes. Continuation to the city of Morelia and accommodation.
Day 9: Morelia - Mexico City
Breakfast. Cultural Heritage of Humanity city, recognized for its student atmosphere and magnificent colonial buildings made of pink stone: the Cathedral, the Palacio de Gobierno, the Palacio Clavijero, the Plaza Mayor, the market for typical sweets, and the Aqueduct. Departure toward Mexico City, arrival, and accommodation.
Day 10: Mexico City - Taxco
Breakfast. Today we will travel to Cuernavaca, the City of Eternal Spring, for a panoramic visit, where we will admire one of the oldest cathedrals in the Americas and the Palacio de Cortés, among other sites. Then we will continue to the beautiful city of Taxco, "the Silver Capital of the World", where we will appreciate the famous Santa Prisca parish with its impressive Churrigueresque style. We will walk through its beautiful cobblestone streets and can admire the silver work created by our artisans. Arrival and accommodation.
Day 11: Taxco - Acapulco
Breakfast. Departure toward the paradisiacal port of Acapulco; arrival and accommodation at your hotel of choice, afternoon free.
Day 12: Acapulco
Breakfast. Departure to the pier to board the Bonanza yacht where you can take a three-hour tour of the world's most beautiful bay and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere with family and friends. Includes: Open national bar, entertainer, live and recorded music, contests, gifts, and transfers to the pier.
Day 13: Acapulco - Mexico City
Breakfast. At the indicated time, return to Mexico City; transfer and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 14: Mexico City
Breakfast. Free day for personal activities; we recommend taking an optional tour in the Mexitours style.
Day 15: Mexico City - Airport
Breakfast. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport to take your return flight home. End of our services.
