Gastronomic Lima

Upon arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, transportation and a representative will pick you up and transfer you to your selected hotel.
A private transportation service will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the restaurant of your choice. Once your meal is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
You will enjoy dinner at Huaca Pucllana restaurant, located within the complex of a pyramid built with adobe by the ancient inhabitants of Lima over 1500 years ago. The restaurant features a rustic colonial-style design and offers Peruvian fusion cuisine.

Explore vibrant Peruvian cuisine beginning the day with a visit to a local market, where you will discover the diversity of ingredients we offer. Then, you will head to a renowned restaurant to participate in a cocktail-making class, where you will learn to prepare Pisco Sour, the national drink of Peru. Next, you will enjoy a cooking class where you will learn to prepare typical Peruvian dishes. Upon completion, you will have the opportunity to taste the delicacies you have prepared, thus concluding an immersive experience in Lima's culinary culture.
In the afternoon you will explore the historic center of Lima, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The route begins at Casa Aliaga, a colonial mansion granted in 1535 by conquistador Francisco Pizarro to Jerónimo de Aliaga. This is the only house from that era still owned by the same family. You will then continue your tour through the colonial center where you can appreciate the Plaza Armas, which features grand architecture built during the Spanish empire. Additionally, you will see the famous Cathedral, which was built in the 16th century. You will end the tour at the Larco Museum, considered among the 25 best museums in the world by TripAdvisor users and containing an impressive collection of pre-Columbian pieces of gold, silver, textiles and erotic art. Finally, you will return to your hotel.

Today you will have the privilege of enjoying local gastronomy in Barranco, the traditional and picturesque district considered the most romantic and bohemian in Lima. In the early twentieth century, Barranco was home to the summer residences of the wealthiest families, leaving a unique architectural legacy. With twentieth-century mansions, art galleries and a vibrant nightlife, this district is one of the most charming in the capital. After strolling through its delightful streets, you will stop at a typical street food stand to taste local delicacies. You will be able to try the traditional "anticucho", a skewer of beef heart marinated with garlic, vinegar and ají panca, as well as the exquisite picarones, an iconic dessert made from squash.
