Day 1: Ecuador Airport - Quito (Monday)
Transfer from the airport to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 2: Otavalo - Cotacachi
Depart from the hotel heading north to visit the "Plaza de Ponchos" at the Otavalo handicraft market. Visit Cotacachi and its leather goods stores while enjoying Andean views of Lake San Pablo and the Imbabura and Cayambe volcanoes. This cultural excursion returns to the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 3: Quito - Middle of the World
Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Historic Center of Quito. Visit the Basilica (including tower and stained glass access), Plaza Grande, the Government Palace, the Church of La Compañia de Jesus (including guided tour), and San Francisco Church. Visit the El Panecillo viewpoint.
Transfer to the Middle of the World City for lunch and visit the Equatorial Line Monument and the Intiñan Museum (admissions included). A stop at the Teleferico is available for those wishing to visit (on your own) before returning to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 4: Quito - Ave. of the Volcanoes - Riobamba
Depart via the South Pan-American Highway, viewing several volcanic peaks. Stop to appreciate the North and South Ilinizas before entering Cotopaxi National Park to visit Limpiopungo Lake. Afterward, visit a Rose Farm to learn about cultivation and export processes. Continue to Guano, a town known for its crafts, monoliths, and mummies. In Riobamba, enjoy a panoramic city tour including Neptune Park and the Loma de Quito viewpoint. Overnight stay.
Day 5: Riobamba - Train - Ingapirca - Cuenca
Travel to Alausi to board the Devil's Nose Train at 11:00 (ticket included) for a round-trip journey through unique landscapes. Continue to the Ingapirca Archaeological Ruins and site museum. Evening arrival in Cuenca, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight stay.
Day 6: Cuenca - Gualaceo
Morning tour of Cuenca, visiting the Cathedral Domes (admission included), El Turi, Calderon Park, and the "Ortega" hat factory.
At 15:00, visit Gualaceo and its Orchid Garden (admission included) along with the jewelry shops of Chordeleg. Return to Cuenca and overnight stay.
Day 7: Cuenca - Guayaquil
Four-hour transfer to Guayaquil through the Cajas lake district, including the "Tres Cruces" viewpoint (weather permitting). Observe local crops including cocoa and bananas. In Guayaquil, visit the Cerro Paraiso viewpoint for a panoramic city view before checking into the hotel.
At 15:00, visit the Iguana Park and walk along the Malecon to see La Rotonda and Las Peñas Street, or enjoy a Guayas River boat ride (included). Overnight stay.
Day 8: Guayaquil - Punta Centinela
Morning departure from Guayaquil toward the Santa Elena Peninsula. The departure time will be coordinated based on your flight arrival or hotel location. Traveling via a modern highway, we will reach Salinas to visit the peninsula and its main attractions, including La Chocolatera, Sopladora del Mar, La Loberia, and El Morro viewpoint. Check-in at 15:00. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the beach. Overnight stay.
Day 9: Punta Centinela
Full day to enjoy the sun and beach at Hotel Punta Centinela. The stay includes a variety of Ecuadorian and international cuisine. The hotel entertainment team offers daily activities, nightly shows, and a beachfront bar for evening dancing. Relax and enjoy this coastal destination.
Day 10: Punta Centinela - Isla de la Plata - Manta
Travel 90 km along the Ruta del Sol to the fishing village of Puerto Lopez. At 09:15, board a boat to Isla de la Plata, often referred to as "Galapagos Chiquito." During the one-hour navigation, Humpback whales may be spotted (June to September). On the island, enjoy a guided hike along trails to observe migratory birds and scenic landscapes. After a light snack (included), there is time for snorkeling with the opportunity to see tropical fish and sea turtles. At sunset, continue along the coastal highway to Manta. We recommend dining at local establishments such as Martinica, La Briciola, or Nacion Parrilla. Overnight stay.
Day 11: Manta
City tour of Manta, including a walk through the shipyard and a visit to the artisanal town of Montecristi, Ciudad Alfaro, and its museum. Afterward, transfer to Playa el Murciélago to enjoy the beach. The hotels are located less than 1 km from this shore. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 12: Manta - Guayaquil
Semi-private transfer to the MANTA EXPRESS terminal for the journey to Guayaquil.
14:00 Arrival in Guayaquil and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 13: Guayaquil - Ecuador Airport
Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
End of services.
