Day 1: Ecuador Airport - Quito (Saturday)
Transfer from airport to hotel.
Accommodation.
Day 2: Otavalo - Cotacachi or Cotopaxi (choose one tour) - Quito
COTACACHI
Departure from your hotel heading north and visit to the "Plaza de Ponchos" in Otavalo's handicrafts and textiles market, we will also visit Cotacachi and its leather goods shops, along the way we will enjoy the Andean landscapes surrounding San Pablo Lake and the Imbabura and Cayambe volcanoes, it is practically a shopping tour with plenty of folklore. Return.
COTOPAXI NATIONAL PARK
Departure from your hotel. Visit to Cotopaxi National Park, located 70 km southeast of Quito, the visit will begin with a walk around the "Limpiopungo" lagoon where you have the opportunity to see birds, wild horses and "chuquiraguas" as the Andean flower is known, you will be surrounded by nature, then return to Quito.
Day 3: Quito - Equator Line
Departure to the Historic Center "World Heritage Site", we will visit the Basilica (includes access to see its towers and giant stained glass windows), Plaza Grande, Government Palace, La Compañía de Jesús (includes access and guided tour), San Francisco Plaza and Church, Winged Virgin of Panecillo viewpoint followed by transfer to the Equator Line city with time for lunch and visit to the Equator Line Monument (included) and the "Intiñan" Museum (included), finally a stop at the Cable Car for those who wish to visit it (at your own cost) otherwise return to each hotel. Accommodation.
Day 4: Quito - Amazon
Departure from Quito (approximately 4 hours) towards the Ecuadorian Amazon. Arrival at Rio Napo where we will board a canoe to reach the lodge. Welcome lunch, in the afternoon jungle walk through the Amazon, we will encounter several species of medicinal plants and insects of all kinds. With luck we may observe monkeys and a large number of birds with the native guide, return to the lodge, or visit the community's "Butterfly Garden". Dinner and accommodation.
Day 5: Amazon
We will prepare our equipment, boots and rain ponchos to begin our adventure. By canoe we head downriver along Rio Napo to Rio Arajuno. Visit to the AMAZONIAN animal rescue center. We will see toucans, parrots, macaws, monkeys of various kinds, jaguars, capybaras. Lunch. Opportunity to swim in the river, we will visit a Quichua family and learn about their ancient ancestral customs regarding gold panning and ceramic making, preparation of Yuca "chicha" and hunting with blowgun. Return to the lodge enjoying a short walk through secondary jungle. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 6: Amazon - Baños - Riobamba
Departure from the lodge and transfer until we reach Puyo, another Amazonian city, where we will see "Balsa" handicrafts, we will continue to the city of BAÑOS, where we have time for lunch and a walk to the "Pailón del Diablo" waterfall, then crossing by tarabita over the PASTAZA River at the "Agoyan" waterfall, panoramic visits of the city of BAÑOS in the late afternoon transfer to RIOBAMBA. Accommodation.
Day 7: Riobamba - Ingapirca - Cuenca
We will depart to ALAUSI where we will board the Devil's Nose Train at 11:00 (ticket included) in a fascinating round-trip journey we will admire unique landscapes with plenty of adrenaline, then we will continue until we reach the archaeological ruins of INGAPIRCA visit to the on-site museum, in the evening we will arrive at the city of Cuenca, World Heritage Site. Accommodation.
Day 8: Cuenca - Gualaceo
Morning visit to the city of Cuenca, declared World Heritage Site for its architectural richness and all the landscapes created by the 4 rivers that cross it, visiting the Cathedral Domes (included), El Turi, Calderón Park and the hat factory "Ortega".
Visit to nearby towns of GUALACEO with its "Orchid Garden" (included) and jewelry shops in CHORDELEG return to Cuenca. Accommodation.
Day 9: Cuenca - Guayaquil
Land transfer to the city of Guayaquil, passing through the lake area of "El Cajas" we will enjoy the "3 Crosses" viewpoint (if the route is accessible) along the way we will see cocoa, rice and banana plantations, in Guayaquil we will cross the Guayas river by its magnificent bridges, we will arrive at Cerro Paraíso viewpoint to admire the great city in 360 degrees, and transfer to the hotel.
Visit to Iguanas Park and a walk along the Malecón, admiring its attractions such as La Rotonda, La Calle Las Peñas, La Rueda, La Perla or Guayas River cruise (included). Return accommodation.
Day 10: Guayaquil - Ecuador Airport
Transfer from hotel to airport.
End of our services.
