Pacific to the Andes via Cuenca

Day 1: Ecuador Airport - Guayaquil
Assistance at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Guides will meet passengers at the international arrivals gate with a name sign. Overnight stay.
Day 2: Guayaquil - Cuenca
City tour of Guayaquil visiting its main monuments, including the Iguana Park and the Malecon overlooking the Guayas River. Enjoy a panoramic view from the Cerro Paraiso viewpoint before departing for Cuenca. Along the route, observe agricultural plantations of cocoa, bananas, and rice. Ascend the Andes with a stop at "Tres Cruces" in the Cajas lake district to admire the Andean landscape. Arrival in Cuenca and overnight stay.
Day 3: Cuenca - Gualaceo
Morning tour of Cuenca, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its architectural wealth and the four rivers that cross the city. Visit the Cathedral Domes (admission included), El Turi viewpoint, Calderon Park, and a traditional hat factory.
In the afternoon, visit the nearby town of Gualaceo to explore its Orchid Garden (admission included) and the jewelry workshops of Chordeleg. Return to Cuenca and overnight stay.

Day 4: Cuenca - Ingapirca - Riobamba
Depart from Cuenca heading north to visit the Ingapirca Archaeological Ruins. Continue by land to Riobamba, viewing the Chimborazo volcano from the Balbanera Church by Lake Colta. Panoramic city tour of Riobamba and overnight stay.
Day 5: Avenue of the Volcanoes - Cotopaxi
Morning tour of Riobamba and its main squares, followed by a visit to the town of Guano. Continue to Limpiopungo Lake in Cotopaxi National Park for a short hike to observe local flora and fauna. On the way to Quito, enjoy views of the Tungurahua, Ilinizas, and Antisana volcanoes. Arrival in Quito and overnight stay.
Day 6: Otavalo - Cotacachi
Depart from the hotel heading north to visit the "Plaza de Ponchos" at the Otavalo handicraft market. Continue to Cotacachi to explore its leather goods stores. Throughout the journey, enjoy Andean landscapes including Lake San Pablo and the Imbabura and Cayambe volcanoes. This cultural and shopping excursion returns to the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 7: Quito - Middle of the World
Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Historic Center of Quito. Visit the Basilica (including access to its towers and stained glass), Plaza Grande, the Government Palace, the Church of La Compañia de Jesus (including guided tour), and San Francisco Church and Plaza. Visit the El Panecillo viewpoint featuring the Winged Virgin.
Transfer to the Middle of the World City for lunch and visit the Equatorial Line Monument and the Intiñan Museum (admissions included). Finally, a stop at the Teleferico (optional, on your own) before returning to the hotel. Overnight stay.
