Day 1: Guatemala Airport - Guatemala City (Saturday)
Reception at the airport and transfer to our hotel in Guatemala City. Overnight stay.
Day 2: Guatemala - Chichicastenango - Lago Atitlán
Breakfast. Depart for the Guatemalan highlands toward Chichicastenango to explore one of Latin America's most famous indigenous markets. Participate in an experiential corn workshop with local women to learn about Guatemala's staple food. Continue to Lago Atitlán, described by Aldous Huxley as the most beautiful lake in the world. Overnight stay.
Day 3: Lago Atitlán - San Juan La Laguna - Santiago Atitlán - Lago Atitlán
Breakfast. Boat excursion to visit two of the villages surrounding the lake. Visit the Tzutuhil village of San Juan La Laguna, known for its residents' harmony with nature and culture. Continue to Santiago Atitlán, inhabited by Tzutuhil people famous for their craftsmanship and the worship of the deity Maximón. Overnight stay.
Day 4: Lago Atitlán - Iximché - La Antigua
Breakfast. Depart for La Antigua. En route, visit the archaeological site of Iximché, the former Mayan capital of the Cakchiquel kingdom. Upon arrival in La Antigua, enjoy a tour of this UNESCO World Heritage colonial city, visiting its main streets and monuments. Overnight stay.
Day 5: La Antigua
Breakfast. Free day to enjoy La Antigua, walking through its cobblestone streets and historic architecture, or relaxing at the hotel. Optional activity: Morning excursion to Pacaya Volcano. Overnight stay.
Day 6: La Antigua – Tazumal – Santa Ana - Suchitoto
Breakfast. Depart for El Salvador. After border formalities, arrive at the Tazumal archaeological site, the most important Mayan ceremonial center in the country. Continue to Santa Ana, the second-largest city in El Salvador, to visit the historic center, National Theater, central plaza, and the Gothic-style cathedral. Continue to Suchitoto. Overnight stay.
Day 7: Suchitoto
Breakfast. Walking tour of Suchitoto to explore its cobblestone streets, art galleries, craft shops, central park, and Santa Lucia Church. Free afternoon for optional activities such as an indigo workshop or a boat ride on Lago Suchitlán. Overnight stay.
Day 8: Suchitoto - Golfo de Fonseca - León
Breakfast. Early morning departure to the port of La Unión to board a boat across the Golfo de Fonseca. View volcanoes, fishing villages, and local wildlife during the crossing. Arrive at Potosí, Nicaragua, and after border formalities, continue to León. Overnight stay.
Day 9: León
Breakfast. Visit this colonial city, the birthplace of poet Rubén Darío. The tour includes La Recolección Church, El Calvario, and the Cathedral—the largest in Central America—where the poet is buried. Free afternoon. Overnight stay.
Day 10: León - Masaya - Granada
Breakfast. Depart for Masaya, the "City of Flowers." Visit Masaya Volcano National Park, the market, and the viewpoint. Lunch included. In the afternoon, continue to Granada, the first city founded in the Western Hemisphere by Francisco Hernández de Córdoba. Overnight stay.
Day 11: Granada - Isletas - Granada
Breakfast. Morning boat tour through the Isletas of the largest lake in Central America, home to many local and migratory birds. Free afternoon to explore Granada and its colonial charm at your own pace. Overnight stay.
Day 12: Granada - International Airport
Breakfast. Free time until the transfer to the airport for your international flight. End of services.
Departure: Minimum 2 passengers.
