Day 1: Belize Airport - San Ignacio
Reception and transfer to San Ignacio. Overnight at your selected hotel.
Day 2: San Ignacio - Caracol - San Ignacio
Breakfast. Depart for the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. After a two-hour drive south, you will reach this expansive protected area, home to pine forests, cool streams, lush river valleys, caves, and waterfalls.
The day begins with a visit to Caracol, one of the most significant Maya archaeological sites. Discovered in 1938 and explored in the 1950s, Caracol was initially considered a ceremonial center. Its true scale and importance were revealed in 1985; a year later, an altar stone was discovered describing a victory over Tikal, establishing Caracol as a powerful Maya metropolis. This finding filled a 140-year historical gap in the Middle Classic period. The "Canaa" (Maya for "Sky Place") is the largest pyramid at the site, rising 140 feet as the tallest man-made structure in Belize.
Includes a box lunch. The tour continues to the Rio Frio Cave—the largest in Belize—and the nearby natural pools. Return to the hotel in San Ignacio.

Day 3: San Ignacio - ATM Cave - San Ignacio
Breakfast. Departure for Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM), widely considered the most fascinating experience in Belize. Upon arrival at the natural reserve, you will be provided with helmets and headlamps for the hike to the cave entrance.
Entry to the cave requires swimming into the cavern. The journey continues on foot through the riverbed inside the cave; in some sections, water may reach chest height, while others require swimming or navigating rock labyrinths. You will reach the main chamber, featuring impressive geological formations and ancient Maya offerings, including pottery, ceremonial urns, jade, and skeletal remains.
Includes a box lunch. Return to the hotel in San Ignacio.
Note: Water shoes and a change of dry clothes are required. This tour is not recommended for those with claustrophobia.
